Is there a Google Flights API? How to get flight prices and cheapest dates as JSON
Google has no public Google Flights API. The old QPX Express API was shut down years ago, and the Google Travel Partners programs are aimed at airlines and large booking sites, not at a developer who wants to read prices for one route. If you need flight prices in your own spreadsheet, app or AI agent, you have three honest options.
The options, compared honestly
- Do it by hand. Google Flights shows a price graph and a date grid, and it is free. It works for one trip. It does not work when you want to check 40 departure dates, or watch the same route every morning.
- A paid SERP API. Services such as SerpApi or SearchApi offer a Google Flights endpoint. They are mature, well documented and a good choice if you already pay for one of them for other searches. They are usually priced per search or per monthly plan, so a scan of many dates multiplies the number of searches you pay for.
- The Google Flights Scraper on Apify (EuroScrape). It reads the public Google Flights results for a route and returns one row per flight. You pay per flight delivered, with no subscription, and the run start is almost free. It can check up to 60 departure dates in one run to find the cheapest day to fly.
None of these is official. The scraper reads only what any visitor sees on Google Flights, and Google can change its page at any time.
What you get for each flight
Each row contains the route, dates, trip type, price and currency, the airline and flight numbers, departure and arrival times, duration, number of stops and layovers, aircraft, and the CO2 estimate. It also carries Google’s own price context: whether the price is low, typical or high, and the typical price range for that route and period. That context is what turns a raw price into a decision: 80 EUR can be a bargain on one route and expensive on another.
A real example
From a sample run on 1 October 2026 (route Paris to Barcelona, round trip, departing 12 November 2026): a direct Ryanair flight FR 3122 from Paris Beauvais to Barcelona El Prat, 105 minutes, at 80 EUR, flagged “high” by Google because the typical range for that period was 50 to 130 EUR. Flight prices change by the minute: these values are valid for that run only.

Find the cheapest dates in three steps
- Describe the trip: one or several routes (airport or city codes such as PAR-BCN), a first departure date, how many dates to check, the gap between dates, and the trip length for round trips.
- Run it from the Apify Console, on a schedule, or by API. A scan of eight departure dates is a normal run.
- Read the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel, or connect a webhook, Make, Zapier or n8n to receive an alert when a price drops.

To call it from code, send the same input to the Apify API with your token. To use it from Claude, Cursor or another AI agent, add the MCP server https://mcp.apify.com?tools=euroscrape/google-flights-prices; our MCP guide explains the setup. For hotels, see the Google Hotels API guide.
What it is good at, and what it is not
It is good at fare monitoring: a route you watch every day, a calendar of cheap days, a comparison between nearby airports, or a feed for a travel newsletter. It is not a booking engine: it does not hold a seat, sell a ticket or return live seat availability. If you need to book flights from your app, you need an airline or a GDS API, which is a different product with contracts.
Pricing
You pay per result, with no subscription: $0.0005 to start a run and $0.0001 per flight delivered. A scan returning 500 flights therefore costs about $0.05 in events, and a scheduled run that finds nothing costs only the start fee. Apify subscribers get 10 to 30% off depending on their plan. Prices read from the actor’s pricing file on 8 November 2026.
FAQ
Is there an official Google Flights API? No. Google does not offer a public one. This tool is unofficial and reads public results.
How is it different from SerpApi? SerpApi is a general search API billed per search. This scraper is specialised in flights, bills per flight returned, and has a built-in multi-date scan for the cheapest day.
Can I get a price-drop alert? Yes. Schedule the run daily and compare with the previous dataset, or use the built-in price-drop alert option with a webhook.
Does it work for one-way and round trips? Yes, both, with passengers and cabin class as inputs.
Do the prices stay valid? Not for long. They are the prices Google Flights showed at the time of the run, and airlines change them often.
